Our first project in South Africa

A whole village.
Independent. Together.

In Benin, we're starting our work. We're building wells, schools and jobs — until the village can stand on its own.

The reality on the ground

A village that has been left to fend for itself for generations.

Before we act, we listen. From reports and partners on the ground, we know this much: the problems are tightly linked and reinforce each other.

96%

No schooling

Many children in rural Benin have no regular access to education. Teachers and materials are missing.

None

Running water & power

Drinking water has to be carried from far away. Electricity is available for only a few hours — if at all.

100%

No income

The village lives off what it grows itself. A bad year means hunger. Opportunities for the young: almost none.

Our approach

How we help the village stand on its own.

Sustainable help, to us, means this: don't donate and leave — stay until the village can carry on alone. Four pillars support the project.

Infrastructure
Pillar 1

Infrastructure

Wells, solar power, paved paths — the foundation for everything else.

Schools
Pillar 2

Schools

Spaces to learn, materials for children and continuing education for adults.

Jobs
Pillar 3

Jobs

Workshops and fields in the village that produce more than the people themselves need.

Independence
Pillar 4

Independence

The goal: a village that grows under its own power — and no longer needs outside help.

Our path to Benin

What happens — and when.

  1. November 2026

    First trip & situation report

We visit the village, meet the people and understand the local structures, then produce a detailed situation report.

  2. November 2026

    Handover of school supplies

Right on the first trip: school supplies, learning materials and first relief goods for the village.

  3. Dec 2026 – Q1 2027

    Regular visits & needs assessment

We come back — many times. What is really missing? Which projects take priority? The decisions are made together with the village.

  4. 2027 onwards

    Step-by-step build-up

Infrastructure, schools, jobs — one project after another, funded by your donations.
